“Did we just get told off by a pre-teen?” Ramsey asked.

“She’s sixteen actually,” I corrected him.

“I’m over three thousand years old, pardon me if they all look like babies to me.”

That was fair.

I took up where Reia had left off. “Well, I guess that’s it, isn’t it? Either you all figure out a way to share, or… none of you gets me, which is it?” I was desperately hoping for the sharing option and not the all-leaving-me option.

Ramsey growled, shooting a look at Grey.

“I’ll share,” Grey said, getting there first, infuriating Ramsey even more. “Like Fen said, even part of Ana is better than all of someone else.” Turning to me he added, “I have to be near you, and if this is the only way, so be it.” The desperate, aching need in those dark, all-consuming eyes not only made my pussy drool but made my heart warm and my breath hitch.

“Yeah, fuck. Sure, I’ll share,” Ramsey spat the words.

I felt like pushing his buttons. “Say it nicely.”

He turned that glare on me, then it softened. He sighed heavily. “How can I say no to the woman I love… fucking,” he said with a grin. “My cock can’t get enough, and my heart isn’t far behind. Yeah, I’ll share,” he said, then sniffed with smug superiority. “Let’s ruin another condom again sometime soon.”

Oh… that cunning bastard, telling the others he’d had his dick in me while professing his sort-of love. He’d one-upped them and swayed me all at the same time. The other two bristled but settled after a moment. Especially after I locked eyes with each of them. I hoped that look said, you’ll all get lots of turns with me.

And that was that. Suddenly, I had three demon princes — sorry, daemonprinces — as my own little harem.

I told them I was tired after everything that had happened these last few days and wanted a day off. They accepted that and left.

I went into the kitchen and sat at the small kitchenette table as Reia put together a salad.

“Did you work it all out?” she asked.

“Yup,” I said, then I caught her gaze and held it for a moment. “How did I get so lucky with you? You’re so smart and wise, and assertive, and… everything I’m not. Half the time I feel like you’re the parent in this relationship. I’m so sorry if I’ve put more on you than I should, if I’ve been relying on you to mother me. I probably don’t say it enough, but you’re an amazing young woman and I love you, Reia.”

She blinked, stunned for a long moment.

“I know we don’t often see eye-to-eye, but—” Then she was in my arms, squeezing me in a tight hug. “—I love you too, Mom.” Her voice was muffled in my shoulder and when she pulled back there were tears in her eyes. “Most of the time you seem so distant and I don’t understand you, but then you say stuff like this and… I remember all those times when I was little and you were there for me, playing District Attorney Barbie with me when Caia and Eva wouldn’t. I’m sure you had no clue what I was doing, but you sat there and smiled and played along.” She sniffed. “I know I’m an odd child. Even the kids at school think I’m strange. I’m more interested in sneaking off to the library to read law books than running off behind the bleachers to stick my tongue down some jock’s throat.”

I pulled her into another hug. “You don’t have to understand another person to love them,” I whispered, and she clung to me tightly once again.

“Thank you,” she said, then pulled back and wiped her cheeks. “So, how did you meet those three hot guys?” she asked changing the topic.

And thus began a very long afternoon of telling my daughter about daemons. How I was one and that — I hadn’t even realized this untilshementioned it — as my daughter she was probably one too. Though, she didn’t show any signs of having either a sex or healing aspect. She took it all in stride, a bit stunned but trusting me, like Donny had. I shouldn’t have been surprised. Reia had always been so adaptable and quick to pick up new things.

“You’re going to need to tell Caia and Eva,” she said before she left to go to her room.

I nodded. “There you go again, being all responsible.”

But there was no way I was going to give news like this over the phone and Caia wasn’t due back from college until the winter break.

As for Eva? Who knew when she’d be back? It would all depend on how long her current fling lasted. Either way, I’d wait for my girls to come home to tell them in person.

Reia paused at the archway to the front room. “I promise I’ll never change, if you promise the same.”

“Deal,” I said, and I felt like I’d gotten the better part of that bargain.

She smiled and left.

ANAIS

The next coupleof weeks were a learning period. Learning more about myself and my aspects. Learning how to be in a three-way relationship, which was a scheduling nightmare. And learning about my guys and how different they were.
