“I’m usually up at around two or three.”

“In the afternoon?” I confirmed.

“Yeah.”

“Thanks, I’ll try not to wake you again. Sorry for that, and thanks again for the advice.”

I could hear the confused yet motherly tone on the other end. “I don’t know why you’re needing to ask about this, but… yeah, sure, I’m here if you need anything, girl.”

“Thanks again, bye.”

“Ciao, bella!” She hung up.

I put my phone away and sat on a couch, sighing heavily.

So… anything was possible…

…because I was a goddess.

That was a lot to take in. Still, it was good to know.

With everything the guys were going through in preparation for this conclave thingy, now probably wasn’t the best time to have these kids. But after that, perhaps I’d…pop them outas Freyja would say.

“Wow, if only I’d been able to do that before,” I whispered to myself.

I’d have to think about it for a while. As it was, I knew my breasts would probably start to get sensitive soon and I didn’t know if I wanted that. But again, I could probably turn that on and off, as well.

I shook my head. The possibilities were… astounding.

The door upstairs opened and closed, and I got up and made my way to the main floor to find Grey had returned.

He took one look at me and asked, “What’s wrong? You look… rattled. What happened?”

I smiled, though I think it still must have come across as a bit forced. “Ah… just had a chat with Freyja about pregnancy. Still assimilating all of it.”

“Ah. Yeah.” He quickly ducked in to give me a soft kiss on the cheek. “You need some time alone with that?”

“No. I’m good,” I said, grateful he offered. “I could help you with your void this afternoon.”

He smiled. “So considerate and thoughtful. I love you, Ana.”

The way he saidthose three wordsso casually almost threw me. But then my heart swelled, my body tingling with pleasant warmth, because it meant his love was ingrained in him now, a part of him.

I drew him down for a long, sensuous kiss, then let him go and spun on my heel, humming as I went to the kitchen to work on lunch. Grey followed — he was a far better cook than I was — and we worked together to prepare a hearty soup and light sandwiches. Reia seemed to sense something was going on and ate quickly before returning to her room.

After lunch, Grey and I went to his office on the lower level.

“Any thoughts on how to do this?” he asked, motioning to his eyes.

The void swirling there didn’t pull me in anymore. I was stronger now, a full goddess, and his powers didn’t affect me as much.

“You did manage to get it to return when I thought that wasn’t possible.” He gave a bit of a silly grin — which was very odd for stoic and serious Grey — as he eyed me.

I guessed he was remembering the little seduction act I’d done, draping myself over Ramsey and letting the big man play with me in front of Grey until his void had burned to possess me.

I gave a little laugh. “I don’t think sex is going to work this time. I was thinking of using my aspect of love, even though I’m still less familiar with that. It seems to allow me to connect with people’s souls… so maybe?”

He nodded. “Worth a try. How do you want me?”
