Her teeth sank into her lip, and she nodded.
I didn’t waste another second. I prowled to her and lifted her with one arm around her waist, then kicked the door shut, reaching behind me to lock it. My mouth connected to hers, and I stood there and kissed her until she squirmed.
“Hop up.” I helped her get her legs around me and walked us to her room, where I fell on top of her on the bed.
I wanted it to be slow, to show her how much I missed her, how much I treasured her, but she had other plans. She rolled me to my back and ripped her top off and then yanked my shirt over my head. “Sweetheart, slow down.”
“Next time.” She palmed my hard cock outside my jeans. “I want this. Now.”
I rolled us back over and kissed down her stomach, pulling her bra down so her tits popped out and then yanked her leggings and panties off her legs. Fueled by a hunger I’d never felt before, I unbuckled my belt and popped the button then tugged the zipper down before shoving my jeans and boxers to my thighs. I surged up, held her by the backs of her knees to spread her open to me, then thrust inside.
“Oh God.” Her back arched and her eyes closed, and I watched as she came, my balls drawing up tight.
“Give me another one,” I grunted, pounding and grinding against her clit. She put her hands to the wall and pushed back, fucking me as I fucked her. “Hell yeah, baby.”
Everything she did, every time I sank inside her, it was unbelievable. She was a treasure, a rare treasure, and I found her… and I wasn’t sure I could go on without her. She was mine, in every sense of the word.
“Matthew.” Her legs stiffened, and she moaned long and low as her thighs trembled and her pussy clutched me so tight she took me with her, falling into another dimension.
I dropped my head to her chest, and her fingers sifted through my hair as we caught our breath. “You okay?”
“Don’t ask stupid questions.”
Sitting up, I brought my finger and thumb to her jaw and turned her head to face me. “About everything else.”
“You wouldn’t be here if I wasn’t,” she whispered.
“Do you want me to go?”
Her lazy eyes snapped open and she shook her head, nearly frantic. “No. Don’t go.” Her nails dug into my skin. “Stay. Please.”
“Hey, what’s this about?”
I watched her throat work as she swallowed and then released a slow breath from between her lips. “I just missed you. I want you here.”
“All right, sweetheart. You want me here then that’s where I’ll be.”
CHAPTER 16
Matthew
“What’s wrong with you lately?” Debbie asked. “You haven’t moved in five minutes.”
I was staring at some x-rays and blinked at my favorite nurse’s voice. “I’m fine, sorry.”
“Dr. B.” She lowered her voice and gently touched my arm. “I know you, you’re not fine.”
“Just some personal shit.”
“A woman?”
I narrowed my eyes at her. Yes, but also, “No.”
I left Bristol’s house a few days ago and hadn’t seen her since. We’d texted and talked a bit, but were both just too swamped to get together. I’d been working, and she had a school event going on that she was busy with. It felt amazing to know she still wanted me after everything I told her, and the weight of the world rolled off my shoulders for a minute there.
Then I remembered her confirming what I suspected to be true about her ex, but that was all I knew, and it was killing me not to be able to do something about it. I didn’t like her being alone in the cabin, and I hated not knowing who or where this motherfucker was.
She told me she was from California, so I assumed he was still out there, but what if he wasn’t? I had a lot of unsettling thoughts going through my head, but I couldn’t allow myself to go there because I had a job to do, and my patients deserved me at one hundred percent.
