Fuck. My eyes quickly scan the crowd, finding a group of girls. Bingo. “She’s over there. What movie are you going to see?”

“The new horror movie, The Chilling.”

“Us too! Why don’t I get my date and we can join you?”

She opens her mouth to say something but I take off, quickly heading towards the girls. Whelp, this night is turning out to be a lot more exciting than I thought it would. Oddly, it’s kind of thrilling coming up with shit on the spot, seeing how far I can take this before Lilly calls me out on my bullshit.

“Hey, ladies.” The girls look over at me, faces lighting up. I recognize a few puck bunnies. None I’ve slept with, so that’s a good start. “Look, this might sound a little odd, but I need a date to see The Chilling with me. Would any of you lovely ladies like to join me? All I ask is you go with the flow and don’t ask questions.”

“Me!” A pretty redhead squeals eagerly. “I’d love to.”

“Wonderful, right this way, my lady.” I grin, holding my arm out.

“Later, girls.” She giggles, leaving her friends behind, who look envious of her. I don’t blame them. I’ve been with a good number of the puck bunnies since I’ve started at SVU, but there’s never been a repeat night. I’ve never—and I mean never—gone on a date with any of them. I’m not one for dating or girlfriends.

I haven’t found anyone that I connected with enough to want to see them more than once. I’m really hoping this doesn’t bite me in the ass. “I just want to put this out there, this is a one-time thing. I hope you know that.”

“Oh, for sure.” She giggles. “But maybe if you want to get together tonight, you could come back to my dorm with me.” She winks.

“Let’s see where the night takes us.” I wink back because, why not? If things don’t go south, I could end the night having wild sex with a hot chick.

“What the hell are you doing here?” my sister asks, crossing her arms as she gives me a death glare.

“I’m here with my date. Ah—” Shit, I don’t even know her name. I look down at her, and she giggles.

“Chloe.”

“Date?” my sister’s brows raise. Shit, she knows I don’t date. Fuck, this may all go to hell.

“Hey, guys. Mind if we join you?” Jonas asks, joining our little group that’s formed in the middle of the lobby.

“Jonas?” Both Lilly and my sister ask.

“What are you doing here?” Lilly asks.

“Same reason as you all.” He wraps his arm around Isla, a puck bunny I slept with last year. “I’m on a date.”

I expect a reaction from Lilly but when I look at her, I don’t see anything but confusion. My sister, however, I can’t quite place it, but she doesn’t seem all too pleased to see her best friend here with a girl. Interesting. But now is not the time to go there.

“Hey, Chloe.” Isla looks my fake date up and down. “Here with Bishop?”

If these two start a cat fight over me, I’m out. Sorry, T, but I don’t need that kind of drama.

“Yup,” Chloe confirms, wrapping her arm around my waist. I’m starting to regret this idea.

“Alright, let’s go see a movie, shall we?”

Lilly and Bianca give each other a look. “You go ahead, I’m gonna talk to Bishop for a second,” Ryan says to Lilly.

“Okay.” She looks from him to me, back to him. “I’ll get us some seats.”

“Chloe, you mind finding us some too?”

“Sure,” she says, looking Isla up and down, giving her a smirk before heading towards the auditorium.

“What’s up?” I ask Ryan.

He chuckles, shaking his head. “Don’t think I don’t know what this is. Where is he?”
